Only a few weeks behind, but we’re back and have another secondhand haul. We’ve been booked and busy in Holiday/Resort ‘26 Market the last three weeks and have added quite a few items to our cart in our downtime…
Although we don’t tend to follow trend, our cart this week is brimming with seaside selects. Being from Cape Cod, our wardrobe is rooted in coastal curation. If there’s one aesthetic we’re fluent in, it’s this. We’ve even been told that “being from Cape Cod has become 90% of our identity.” And truth be told, they’re not wrong. Growing up on the beach has been both a privilege and a gift. It’s also where we discovered our adoration for secondhand shopping. From Estate Sales to Flea Markets, the Cape & Islands has no shortage of local vintage shops and newspaper yard sale listings.
From cutie straw bags, to worn in Ralph Lauren linen shirts, everyone is having themselves an East Coast inspired Summer, whether you’re in Paris, on the West Coast, or summering in Chilmark.
As we pack up our bags and head to the Cape for two weeks, we wanted to share our ten Depop New England inspired “musts” that have landed in our cart.
1. Coach “Starfish” Red Heeled Thong Sandal - $90.00
Need we say more? These are the cutest addition to any minimal ensemble. Or a pair of cute gingham capris…
Cotton Eyelet Blouse - $30.00
We’re always on the lookout for vintage cotton tops to wear in the hot hot heat or beachside (& in great condition) and this one is p-e-r-f-e-c-t. She’s tailored in the right places and bra friendly! Pair her with a midi skirt, denim cut-offs, under your overalls, etc.
Levi’s Denim Cut-off’s - $21.30
Denim shorts are a wardrobe must. Whether the inseam is 20 inches or 10, they are essential. Heck, you can even make your own! Source some great Levi’s for under $20, give them a little trim, and recycle or repurpose the rest.
Vintage J.Crew Rollneck Cotton Knit - $28.00
If there’s one thing we don’t travel without in the Summer, it’s a cotton sweater and J.Crew has the best vintage ones on the market (not to mention a great weight to wear year round). It’s the perfect layer to wear over your cotton eyelet blouse or breton striped t-shirt. Pro tip: tie it around your waist or shoulders and you’ll exude the perfect amount of New England prep.
Tod’s Burgundy and Brown Loafers - $200.00
Are loafers the new ballet flat? If that’s the case, sign us up! Not only are loafers a New England staple, they’re also incredibly comfortable and pair with a lot more than just khakis. Summer dresses, skirts, bloomers, etc. These Tod’s loafers double as a great driving moccasin and work shoe.
Woven Straw Tote Bag - $30.00
A quintessential item to have whilst frequenting a small beach town. Not only can they carry a decent amount, they also look super cute while doing it! We love this one with the extra interior pocket and the external strap closure. Farmer’s Market readyyy.
L.L. Bean Boat & Tote - $125.00
Another item we can’t imagine traveling without: an L.L. Bean tote. No matter the size, or how faded, an L.L. Bean tote never goes out of style. They get better with age, wear, and are v durable. We prefer to shop them secondhand, solely because of the aforementioned.
Roberto Cavalli Animal Print Bikini - $200
We simply HAD to throw in a suit (for obvious reasons) and this 90’s Roberto Cavalli bikini is a dreeeeeam. We’ve been into “non-print prints” forever and this one is too good to be true. And how cute is that hardware?!
Billabong Crochet Romper - $16.00
Crochet is everywhere this Summer and what better way to try it out than in beachy playsuit form! This one from Billabong is so freaking cute, we can’t take ittttt. And $16?! C’mon nowww.
Polo Ralph Lauren Striped Button Down - $25.00
We never play favorites, buuuuut we saved the best for last :) We’re always on the search for a good button down and this striped RL shirt is the perfect summer cover-up. We always suggest sizing two sizes up so you can wear them a few different ways: around the waist, open, as a dress, etc.
